The ground rules.
Last updated September 24, 2026
The short version
- Lost Remedies is for general information. It is not medical advice, and it never replaces your doctor or pharmacist.
- Membership is billed through Apple and renews until you cancel it in your iPhone’s settings.
- The remedies, stories and photos are ours. Use them at home, not in a business.
- Trying a remedy is your decision. Talk to your doctor first, especially if you take medicines.
1. The agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Social Cuts LLC (“we”, “us”) for the Lost Remedies app and the website trylostremedies.com (together, “the service”). By using the service you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
2. Not medical advice
Lost Remedies shares traditional kitchen remedies and what published studies say about them. It is for general information only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not a substitute for your doctor, nurse or pharmacist.
- Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before trying any remedy, especially if you take medicines, are pregnant or nursing, have a health condition, or have surgery coming up.
- Never stop, start or change a prescribed medicine because of something in the app.
- If you think you are having an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number. Do not use the app.
- The app’s safety filter works from what you tell it and from general information about known interactions. It is a help, not a guarantee, and it cannot know everything about you.
- Foods, herbs and oils can cause allergies and reactions. If you react to something, stop and get help.
- Results vary from person to person. We do not promise that any remedy will work for you.
3. Who can use it
You must be at least 18 to use the service. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep it to yourself and tell us if you think someone else is using it.
4. Membership and payment
- Parts of the app are free. A paid membership unlocks the rest. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
- Payment is taken by Apple through your Apple ID, under Apple’s terms. We never see your card details.
- A subscription renews automatically at the same price and for the same period until you cancel it. You can cancel any time in your iPhone’s Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions. To avoid the next charge, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You keep access until then.
- If a free trial is offered, it turns into a paid membership when it ends unless you cancel before then.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s rules. We cannot issue them ourselves.
- A one-time “lifetime” purchase covers the app for as long as we offer it, including updates, on the same Apple ID.
- We may change prices for future periods. If we do, we will tell you before the change applies to you.
5. Your account and your content
Anything you type into the app, such as notes and questions, is yours. You give us permission to store and process it so the service can work, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can delete your account at any time from Settings.
6. Our content
The remedies, stories, photos, design, name and everything else in the service belong to us or to the people who license it to us. You may use it for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. Please don’t copy, scrape, resell, republish or reverse-engineer any of it, and don’t use the app or its content to build a competing product.
7. Fair use of the service
Don’t use the service in a way that breaks the law, harms other people, or interferes with the service itself. Don’t try to get around limits, probe our systems, or use the assistant to produce anything harmful. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.
8. Changes to the service
We improve the app all the time, and sometimes that means changing or removing a feature. If a change would seriously affect what paying members get, we will give reasonable notice.
9. No warranties
We work hard on Lost Remedies, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises about it: not that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, not that its information is complete or current, and not that any remedy will have a particular effect for you.
10. Limits on our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, Social Cuts LLC and the people who work with us are not responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for any loss that comes from relying on information in the service. If we are found responsible for something, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars, whichever is more. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
11. Apple
Because the app is distributed through the App Store, Apple asks us to say the following. These terms are between you and us, not Apple, and we, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. If the app fails to meet a warranty, you may tell Apple and Apple may refund the price you paid; beyond that, Apple has no warranty obligation. We, not Apple, handle any claim about the app, including product liability, legal compliance, and intellectual property claims. You confirm that you are not in a country under a US government embargo and are not on a US government list of prohibited parties. Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce these terms as a third-party beneficiary.
12. Sorting out problems
If something goes wrong, email us first at support@trylostremedies.com. Most things can be fixed with a conversation. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state where Social Cuts LLC is organised, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will post the new version here with a new date, and tell you in the app if the change is significant. Using the service after that means you accept the new terms.
